    Abstract

    This note provides insights into the feeding ecology of the snake Oxyrhopus melanogenys based on the first record of predation on the lizard Tretioscincus agilis in the western region of Pará. Oxyrhopus melanogenys is a snake from Dipsadidae family, known for its wide distribution in the Amazon and generalist diet. The detailed description of in situ predation contributes to the understanding of ecological dynamics among reptiles in the Amazon rainforest, highlighting the importance of these interactions and their potential implications for population and reptile community dynamics.
