Abstract

A vented trap, with the presence of a person inside, which serves as an attractive but protected against bites, was developed as a new method of mosquitoes collection. The mosquitoes attracted to the trap are then pushed by electric fans and imprisoned inside a collector. A variation of this apparatus was also provided for use with attractive chemicals, such as carbon dioxide (CO2), octenol (1-octen-3-ol) or others. The description and illustrations of the trap are given in detail.
