This work is part of a series of studies accomplishing the lycophytes and monilophytes from Caxiuanã National Forest, which encloses ca. 200,000 ha of terra firme forest, periodically flooded forests (várzea and igapó forest), savannoid vegetation and secondary vegetation. The studied area is situated in Melgaço and Portel municipalities, and limited at North by the coordinates 01º 37’ S / 51º 19’ W and 01º 54’ S / 51º 58’ W, and at South by 02º 15’ S / 51º 15’ W e 02º 15’ S / 51º 56’ W. For the analysis and taxonomic identifications of the collected specimens, usual techniques and specialized literature were used. The lycophytes are represented by four species: two Lycopodiaceae, Huperzia linifolia (L.) Trevis. var. jenmanii (Underw. & F. E. Lloyd) B. Øllg. & P. G. Windisch and Lycopodiella cernua (L.) Pic. Serm., and two Selaginellaceae, Selaginella conduplicata Spring and S. parkeri (Hook. & Grev.) Spring. Identifications Keys for genera and species are presented, besides taxonomic comments, illustrations, distributions and habitat data.
